Q How far in advance can I make a booking?
Bookings can be made three months prior to your travel date through Japan Bus Online.

Q How late can I leave a booking? Can I book the day before?
You can book up to the day before your travels if you book through Japan Bus Online. Alternatively, you can call Chuki Bus or Tanabe Kanko and make a booking if they still have seats available.
Telephone bookings must be paid for electronically (PayPay) when you board the bus. (Cash not accepted.)
Q How do I make an online booking?
You can make an online booking through Japan Bus Online or through the highway bus section on Osaka Bus.
Q Can I make a phone booking etc.?
You can make an online booking through Japan Bus Online or through the highway bus section on Osaka Bus.
Please note that bookings are typically handled through Japan Bus Online. Telephone bookings can only be made on the day of your trip.

Q What are the age restrictions for child fares?
Elementary school aged children are charged at the child rate. Children in junior high school and over are charged at the adult rate.
Q Can I choose my seat?
We will assign all seating. (We will take gender and companions into consideration.)
Q Is there wheelchair access?
No wheelchair lift is available. Passengers may board the bus, but wheelchairs must be placed in the storage compartment.
Q How do I make a group booking?
For group bookings of nine people or more, please call the group booking phone number.

Payments

Q When is payment due?
If you have booked through any of the portal sites, please finalize your purchase at least one day prior to your trip.
Q Can I pay with my Suica Internet Service or Mobile Suica?
Unfortunately, this payment method is not supported at this time.
Q Can I pay in person?
Customers booking on the day of their trip can pay electronically (PayPay) when they board the bus.
Q Can I get a receipt?
Each portal site will offer a receipt.

Q How do I confirm a booking or payment?
Please confirm with the portal site where you made your booking.

Q How do I change the date of my trip?
Bookings cannot be changed. We apologize for any inconvenience. You will need to cancel your booking and make a new one.
Q How do I cancel my booking?
Please cancel through the portal site where you made the booking.

Boarding

Q How soon will the bus arrive at the bus stop?
The bus will generally arrive just before departure time. The bus will not depart earlier than scheduled, but please arrive at the bus stop well in advance.
Q Do I need a ticket to get on the bus?
You do not need a ticket. Please state your name when boarding the bus.
Q Are pets allowed on the bus?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on the bus.
Q Can I put my luggage in the storage compartment?
You can put your luggage in the storage compartment, but please do not leave any valuable or fragile items.
Q What happens if I lose or forget my boarding pass?
We can confirm your booking by your name.
Q What if I miss the bus?
We do not offer refunds in this circumstance. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Q Are babies and toddlers allowed on board?
We will arrange seating for you at the child fare price. All children must be seated. We request that you do not sit them on your lap.
Q Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available for use.
Q Are there restrooms available?
Some buses have restroom facilities while some do not. Buses leaving from Shirahama in the morning and from Osaka midday do not have restrooms. Restroom facilities will be available at the rest stop along the way.
Q Can I eat or drink on the bus?
You may eat or drink on the bus so long as you do not inconvenience the other passengers. (We may ask you to refrain from eating foods with particularly strong smells or that make loud noises.)

Issues

Q What happens if the bus is delayed or suspended due to extenuating circumstances?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for any delays. In the event of a cancellation, we will inform you by phone or email and explain how refunds will be issued.

All seats are assigned.
Service times are only estimates. Please allow enough time when using the service, since the bus may be delayed due to road conditions and other factors. Please note that the bus company will not be held responsible for any problems that may occur due to delays, etc.
Passengers are requested to carry their own baggage by themselves on board the bus. Large pieces of luggage, such as suitcases, that cannot be carried on board may be stored in the storage compartment underneath the cabin, but please note that the bus company will not be held responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or any other problems that may occur.
If the bus is fully occupied, you may not board the bus. We do not receive standing passengers, due to the vehicle's seating capacity and the fact that it travels on the highway.
Please set your cell phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on it while seated. Also, please use your phone in silent mode when using the Internet or e-mail so as not to disturb those around you. We ask for your understanding and cooperation, so that we may prevent unpleasant situations arising among passengers on the bus and ensure a pleasant ride.
If the regular seats are full, auxiliary seats may be used. The fare will remain the same in such instances.
As a general rule, a child fare will be charged for seats occupied by toddlers.
Smoking is not permitted at bus stops or on buses. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
